Our mission is to significantly improve the health and well-being of the dogs (Coconut Hounds) and cats (Coconut Cats) living in the Dominican Republic. This mission is being accomplished through several programs including; spay/neuter, emergency vet care, providing preventive medicines, community outreach, and education. We could not do this important work without the commitment and compassion of our volunteers, supporters, community, and donors. Gracias!!!

Although they come in all sizes, shapes, personality types, colors, and breed mixtures; Purebred Dominican Coconut Hounds and Coconut Cats are the names we have affectionately given to the amazing animals we work with and meet on a daily basis in the Dominican Republic.  These special creatures have stolen our hearts and that is why we are so dedicated to helping those in need here on the island. Adopters have told us time and time again what intelligent, calm and affectionate animals they are.  The "typical" Coconut Hound has very large ears, a black muzzle, and is of small to medium size.
